How long have you been at Hazelwood and in what capacity? I have a son in third grade and have tried to be involved with the school and activities as much as possible since he started at Hazelwood.
What made you want to serve on the board this year? I'm now staying at home with my 1 year old which has it's challenges but allows me greater flexibility and I can be more involved. I enjoy knowing what is going on at the school and being a part of deciding which activities will be available. My son loves me being involved with the school and PTA which is just another reason I wanted to join the board!
What is your favorite outdoor activity? I love to play soccer! I also enjoy camping and boating.

How long have you been at Hazelwood and in what capacity? My two kids have been at Hazelwood for 4 years and this is my second year working as a Para in the Primary Intensive Support classroom.

What made you want to serve on the Board this year? I love being involved in activities that benefits kids and being on the board allows me to do that.

What is your favorite outdoor activity? I love to hike with my family and take our dog Vader to the beach!

How long have you been at Hazelwood and in what capacity? This is our second year at Hazelwood. I volunteer at as many functions as I can and also in my children's classrooms once a week.

What made you want to serve on the Board this year? It is very important to me to be as much a part of my kids' life as possible. I also want to have a voice when it comes to their school environment.

What is your favorite outdoor activity? Camping

How long have you been at Hazelwood and in what capacity? My two kids have attended Hazelwood since kindergarten, and my oldest is now in 6th grade, the youngest in 4th grade. I have tried to help with classroom activities or field trips ever since they started school, but over the last 3 years, I have had more time to volunteer with things like weekly spelling tests, reading groups, helping in the library, making copies, and other school activities that happen throughout the year.

What made you want to serve on the Board this year? I wanted to step outside my normal comfort zone, and try something new that would help me be more involved with things that happen at school and encourage me to share my thoughts.
​
What is your favorite outdoor activity? I enjoy riding bikes and camping.
